I run that exact loop daily. Codex builds, Claude reviews. The open-ended Claude review catches architecture issues a linter never will, but yeah, it's inconsistent run-to-run.
CodeRabbit and similar tools are the opposite. Repeatable checks for style, known anti-patterns, PR hygiene. They complement Claude, don't replace it. Before you pay for another tool though, try handing Claude an explicit review checklist. That closed most of the consistency gap for me.
